Doom 1 and 2 Soundtrack Rebuilds by Andrey Avkhimovich
That I got permission to post.
All examples herefor Doom 1 and here for Doom 2.
They're the best (but not the heaviest) rebuilds in my opinion. That doesn't make that true for you though.
File size is about 354MB because of use of 320KBps MP3 files. Apologies. But I don't know how to compress a .wad.

Best thing you can get is to convert them all to OGG and then stick them inside the WAD. Should be around 110 MB instead this way. You can use Audacity to convert them between formats.loismustdie555 wrote:Apologies. But I don't know how to compress a .wad.

You got some good tracks in there but the file size is a bit large. If you still have the original uncompressed audio, compress from those instead of transcoding from MP3.
Use OGG quality 5, which is Audacity's default.
Also consider splitting into Doom and Doom 2 files for ease as SLADE almost choked on loading the 355 MB WAD file.
There is no D_E4M1, D_E4M4 or D_E4M8 and the game uses music slots from the other tracks to use in E4 so you can delete those entries. Also you can just leave D_INTROA blank as the original entries in DOOM.WAD it was a small piece that accompanies D_INTRO.
Why is your D_AMPIE used for D_DM2INT? I think you mixed importing tracks by mistake there too.

Sounds pretty good, though sometimes it sounds empty without unusual instruments like in D_EVIL. I really like the intermission from Doom 2 and every other that is metal in the original.
But for god's sake, use $musicalias in SNDINFO so you don't have to copy the same song twice or three times, I'll give you mine for Doom 2, I didn't do one for Doom 1:

Xeotroid: That would only work for ZDoom and GZDoom as it doesn't work at all for Zandronum or ZDaemon.
