Tht sort of reminds me of that cheat in GTA:SanAndreas where every pedestrian gets equipped with different firearms and starts to fight against you.wildweasel wrote:I generally prefer that my "enemies" fight back once in a while.

I remember that cheat specifically because it NEVER TURNS OFF. Ruined a save game with it once.TheBadHustlex wrote:Tht sort of reminds me of that cheat in GTA:SanAndreas where every pedestrian gets equipped with different firearms and starts to fight against you.wildweasel wrote:I generally prefer that my "enemies" fight back once in a while.
Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
So Valve puts Hatred up on Steam but censors the word 'moron' out of reviews.
This is bordering on farce now.

Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
Let me get this straight...
Postal 1 gets a Mature rating, yet gets banned in 10+ countries for being released at the wrong time...
Yet when Hatred('s trailer) came out, it got an Adults Only rating (and being laughed off as edgy), as with the developers being called neo-nazis?
Sure, I get that Hatred's monologue may have been bland, edgy 15-year old drivel, but how do you explain the neo-nazi part?

This is the closest thing I could find to news about the whole thing.
Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
If so, then it was pretty effective; For the most part, it got to the point where they even had to debunk it on their main website.Blox wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smear_campaignEddieMann wrote:how do you explain the neo-nazi part?
Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
GoG's refusal to host the game may have something to do with they fact that they're based out of Poland, home to the hate group Zielinski apparently liked on Facebook.
Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
On a related note, I would like to give a hearty FUCK YOU to Running With Scissors for including a cameo of that Milos Stanowhatever guy in the Postal 2 DLC. When I bought Postal 2 way long ago, I considered it a guilty pleasure, but courting to a ridiculous internet fiasco that ruined relationships (including some of mine) crosses my lines. Naturally I didn't buy the DLC and won't bother playing Postal 2 again.
As for this most recent controversy, my inner libertarian says shame on Twitch, my inner decent person says shame on the Hatred devs for getting everyone in a stir, and another part of me doesn't care as Twitch was pretty shitty before this latest incident---quoth a Redditor, "Or for all I care they can ban it all - My issue is not with the policy Twitch has, but the blatant double standards and inconsistency in maintaining said policy."

Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
I really wish people would focus on making games that are fun, not games that court controversy for no good reason.
Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
Likewise. Even DooM, controversial as it was in the day, revolutionized multiplayer gaming AND video game modding. It was also memorably spooky as Hell (pun intended), of course.wildweasel wrote:I really wish people would focus on making games that are fun, not games that court controversy for no good reason.

Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
This guy kind of sucks, but whatever.
Re: Edge: The Game [Hatred]
Game looks honestly pretty boring and unremarkable to me. Not even super violent like the AO rating suggested.
