Wishlists
The purpose of this thread is to post what you always wanted, and what you always wished. To start, here's my wishlist.
-True look up/down to ZDoom.
-32-bit software rendering in ZDoom.
-Zandronum catching up with ZDoom.
-A computer from 2632.
-Programs that no longer need compile.
Tell us about yours!

Re: Wishlists
Are headsets what you really want? I'm pretty sure a good pair of headphones are better, like these. $40 more. If you want the headset for the microphone though, you got something decent. I have an earlier Corsair Vengeance headset and if you want to hear that I can provide a speech sample for you.

Not ridiculous. I used to play with my children with those toys quite a lot, and I gotta say it is a lot of fun!wildweasel wrote:This ridiculous thing.
If you haven't already play with some friends or with your children, you should! I actually really liked it even though I'm 39 years old.

Yes, but from what I understand the things I said will probably never happen.MJ79 wrote:Don't we already have a thread for feature requests?

Re: Wishlists
Instead of using clipping (so it's like zoomed in photo moving up and down), it's like in GZDoom. Polymost was being developed to solve that but they scrapped it completely.TheBadHustlex wrote:A real garchomp that loves me.

Re: Wishlists
I use earbuds for music and whatnot. The headset is for gaming purposes, so yeah the microphone is kind of a must. It's pretty low on the "real life" priority list though, since I won't be gaming online anytime soon unless I test out of this trigonometry class, lol.undead003 wrote:Are headsets what you really want? Re: Wishlists
Dynamic lights that cast real-time shadows
Dynamic (and other) lighting that can go up above 256 and look and feel like really bright light sources including sunlight
Actors smaller than 1 DU wide and tall
Actors that can be stored "inside" other actors as an inventory item, but then dropped with perfect continuity (same health and inventory, etc.)
No need to pre-compile ACS

Re: Wishlists
Wishlist....for ENGOO!!!
- Lazy window buffer stretch like zdoom so we can maximize a nice 320x200 or perhaps separated virtualresolution so we can run 320x200 in a fullscreen aspect corrected 1920x1080
- mod playback, the quake sound buffer is horrible to inject music in with those 'paint buffer' functions
- md3s with tags
- mdrs with tags
- iqms with tags
- it not crashing with more recent maps
- rendering the scene to system memory for huge performance gain.
- Cross-platform SDL port that doesnt toxically compromise the fine Win32 MSVC6 port as SDL porters always do with extreme prejudice
- The DOS version working again
- GL version

Re: Wishlists
Modding file system and actor scripting/definitions of GZDoom but with the renderer of Unreal Engine 4. :P
