This is the scrapped version of Doom 4 and have nothing to do with the current new Doom title. Back then, even the dev team was calling it "Call of Doom" and was ultimately canceled because it was "suffering from identity crisis". These news are from 2013 though, and i'm surprised they are appearing here now. EDIT - I've re-read the thread and noticed this isn't supposed to be a news thread. Sorry, it's already dawn here and i'm very sleepy.

The problem is that, id Software isn't the same enterprise we used to know on 1990~2000, so don't expect Doom 4 to be actually "Doom"

In fact i don't see any hope for any of the old games, Valve is the only one which still keep the same team, however they are delaying all this long for a Half Life 3 or any other sequence due to fear what game industry became.

Why are you so convinced that the real Doom 4 is less like COD than this rather than more so? I don't have any expectations for Doom 4 other than another COD: Ghosts. Or more like COD: """Demons""". Because that's what sells these days, and as was mentioned, id is definitely not the same id it used to be.

At least they appear to have concept art for demons and the woman pictured is actually wearing proper body armor.
