I remember a similar sprite back on DoomWorld and always wanted it finished!

I actually had your back with that comment, BPA. My point was that nobody else questioned that, yet as soon as a female equivalent was posted it's, "omg she's nekkid how's that gonna protect her in a fight so oversexualized lol", completely negating the fact that the Hexen Fighter is basically just as naked and just as prone to some rather nasty (read: fatal) injuries during combat. I'll be straight with you - scantily-clad characters don't really appeal to me personally, but there's a lot to be said for context. And in the context of high-fantasy such as Heretic/Hexen where there's just as much male flesh on show, then it works in my book. Just as long as the wardrobe department extends to the fact that the Mage and Cleric from Hexen are both much more well-covered, so it follows that any hypothetical female equivalents would follow suit.

Fuck me, it's the Dragon's Crown debate all over again ...

well duke-approved shaded, although it seems it's a plasma cannon more than a shotgun.

but like you said, anything is possible somehow with weird sci-fis.

It is based upon the lameduke plasma rifle, so that is probably why it looks like a plasma cannon. It is supposed to shoot a spread of lasers though. That and the (sort of) pump action nature make it somewhat of a shotgun.

than its probably the same sprite, it was originally started by fredrik for freedoom, but it was abandoned, i recently started to ask him for his unfinished sprites and a bunch of them turned up, so i thought id try to finish some of them

"Mace" is a general enough term for the type of weapon. (As opposed to a club or hammer.) This isn't anywhere near Doom's "Chaingun" level of inaccurate.

Wolfenstein 3D also called it a "chaingun". You could say it's a case where the first two shots are not perfectly accurate.
