Naitguolf, I recommend the Gothic DM series. The architecture and atmosphere is amazing, the levels are mostly smallish and self-contained, but the exits can still be hard to find in the dark if you're not familiar with the layout.

On that note, is this mod MP-compat? Exploring large DM levels with only your lanterns and a handful of buddies could be really cool.

If you're feeling masochistic, you could try Hellbound. I've played through the first eight levels, and I have no idea how I'll ever finish some of the really mazy ones later.

Not exactly the same, but you might try Dark Doom.

Hellcore 2 is always my favorite level set to play on. The Hobb's End Horror map is a super fitting, super creepy map to play.

Thanks for the map tips :)

Ey Caligari_87, Dark Doom is great, thank you!! Then with Beam Flashlight works pretty well!!! Now I've only miss to add some fog (dinamic fog could be great) to have very atmospheric maps (also adding storming, raining, etc to vanilla maps)

This could make a great adition to Lasting Light btw :-)

Edit: Mixing Lasting Light with Beam Flashlight... whoa, so nice playing Ultimate DooM. Just let me back the weapons and the monsters and here comes a new Survival Horror game! :) (could pretty please anyone do this? then play with Oculus and... whoa...)

I also very much enjoy HC 2.0; Baron Streets couples excellently with this atmosphere.

I originally developed Dark Doom for adding a creepy atmosphere to Hideous Destructor and similar mods, but hadn't considered a pitch black version. I might include that in a bit, if you give me the time to make it.

As for Lasting Light.... I'd be playing it more if I didn't favor my peace of mind so much. Hehehe, creepy as mess.

EDIT: ...and done. dark_doom_black.pk3 should give you what you wanted. :)

Tell me about it. I have to turn off the enemies to wander the levels in peace, and even then I get stressed out.

Hello guys. I was playing with my friend in this mod (by GZDoom multiplayer version). I want to ask about little patch, which can continue our gameplay. Because if somebody died, all monsters disappear. And something wrong with lantern. It activates in both hands if someone use it. People, can you make this patch please? I don't know a lot about modding. Thats why I'm asking for you.
