Well I can test, I want to test, I can break things, I am likely to know how to fix what I've just broken, and I have a very annoying but useful habit of nitpicking just about everything.

Sounds like a good basic tester resume.

I've tested quite a few things before. Why not! Sign me up if you will. :P

I like breaking things. Can I test?

Oh, and Happy April Fools, by the way.

Work is progressing on finishing up the Knothole map, or at least trying to. There is still a lot to do.

I think it'd be better if you had Tails' mug in the fullscreen. But this looks awesome. I remember witnessing it getting cancelled awhile back, but it's great to see you're back to working on it!

Soda and I toyed with this before our schism but we couldn't get anything to look right with the current mugshot graphics we had. To compensate, I've thought about making the health/armor bars larger and more obvious. Possibly bigger numbers, too.

Take it easy, it looks like the maps might going under map review soon so development on other stuff might be slow.

Honest question: Should I add an optional Interactive Tutorial map that outlines some of the differences in gameplay that are to be expected?

Yes, be pro, be mapping pro (include tutorial that acts smart). :)

If it's optional and works like the Half Life tutorial, then definitely. Those are often a bit of laid-back fun and are educational, too.

i agree with making it a separate, selectable episode, as well. tutorials can actually be pretty fun if they're not shoe-horned into the main campaign, which tends to ruin the flow and pacing, especially on consequent playthroughs. Adventures of Square comes to mind, where the tutorial map is pretty good-fun, but you're able to not choose to play it if you don't feel like it.
