Hopefully my retro encounter will give the italian modders a better reputation than this piece of crap.

He stole a lot of stuff, that is true. Blood, Duke Nukem, Redneck Rampage, Shadow Warrior, Carmageddon, various mods from doom, and many other features from many other games.
He is only a stupid trying to make some money with others' work. But... when I saw the Ratzi-Launcher (in italian "Lancia-Ratzinger") and the way he used the all the stuff I started to play it a lot.
It is stupid, it has a humour that is only based on blasphemy, and non-sense, it is childish, but when I play it, it remembers me the times when I was in the high school when I listened to stupid music like prophilax (full of childish humour and blasphemy), when I did stupid things.. It's trash, and sometimes we need trash.

I think it might be the greatest thing I've ever seen. I'm officially canceling all my Doom projects because there's no point in trying to compete with Grezzo 2.

I somehow like the game. But definitly not because it's gameplay. Just because I want to see what ridiciouless shit I'm gonna see in the next map.

AND it inspired me to work on something similar, with more balance, less stealing, self-built maps, redesigned weapons with different usages and more consistency.

Did you just... make a 2 year bump?
If you are going to bump, please at least have a reason other than posting your opinion.

This forum needs a feature that requires a bump/post to be approved by a moderator if the thread has been inactive for 1 or more years.

Is it forbidden to reply in a thread that hasn't been active for a long time if you have something to say about the topic?
And besides: another Update came out last christmas, so it's not like Grezzo 2 is really dead. The hype here is just gone.

I'm pretty sure you are allowed to under certain circumstances, but I'm not entirely sure as to what they are.

This saddens me.

(my apologies if I came across as rude by the way, I re-read my message and realized that it can be interpreted that way)

Lancia-Ratzinger is an assonance, "Rocket Launcher" is "Lancia Razzi" in Italian, Ratzi - Razzi, even if i hate this mod, i must say, i jiggled a bit :)

While I second this motion, I think it would be much easier for users to use common sense and read the last post date before making a bump.

I third the motion as it helps to prevent young ones from making continuous mistakes right out of the gate. It's like a "This is my first day on the forum" filter. It could automatically send them a private message with the rules and a pre-warning about necrobumping.

Reading the comments this wad must be one big copyright violation. By the way Xaser & co. technically your work is your own even if the copyright is not filed. If you can prove that your artwork was drawn on a date prior to the development of this plagarized crap fest then you can actually have a viable lawsuit even if it wasn't something you could have or intended to distribute for monetary compensation.

The only mistake is to complain about bumps. Fundamental misunderstanding of the way forums work.

Posts brings topics up. If there's no interest, and hence no posts, in a particular topic, then it is pushed out by other topics. Popularity takes care of things naturally.

Up until people start posting just to complain about the relevance of other posts. So it is really these kind of replies that shouldn't be allowed, as people can't be relied on to grow up (as evidenced by the popularity of this "no bump" attitude). Please don't go on about "young ones" when your own attitude is symptomatic of the twenty-something belief of an arbitrary expiration date on discussions and information.

I can't understand what's so bad about so called "bumps", too.
Seriously, I'd like to know a reason why this is so unethical.

To the topic:
Wow. Just watched the new trailer for Grezzo2. Looks like another LSD-Trip to me.

The policy here has always been a meaningful bump (i.e. one that belongs in the thread and adds positively to it) is fine. Pointless, meaningless bumps that add nothing to the thread and merely serve to confuse people and make them think that the thread has become active again when it hasn't are definitely not OK.

Bumps are not bad; bad bumps are.

If any good comes from the bad stuff, it was not in vain!
