So, what is it?
In case you're wondering, it's a sort of "experiment" in which the background music for Doom/Doom II is replaced (almost) completely with ambiance which will make the game more atmospheric and sinister to further convey that sense of loneliness in that "you vs. them" theme, as well as emulate what kind of level you're in (ex, computer drones and noises in E1M7), unless you're ending or starting an episode, in which a more musical track will play. Most of the ambiance is taken from the Doom 3 Alpha.
However, if you're someone that's looking for fast-paced metal or the like, this probably won't satisfy you. If you're someone who's wanting to make the game more atmospheric without using PSX music, this should be right up your alley.
Can I use this with other wads?
Sure, just as long as the wad in question doesn't contain custom music. Depending on which wad (or mod) you play, your experience may vary.
Can I use part/all of it for something I'm working on?
Of course, it's free to use!
