This is my another creature: the Prisoner zombie (or BJ zombie)
But this is the front side only of the monster... I found not a normal sprite sheet.

I decided to make a lava recolour of the duke3d fountain to go with the others I had managed to find after searching quite a while...
here's the (now) full sheet for those who don't know what I'm talking about:

enjoy!

Justin See - draw her in a swordfight with a Baron of Hell. I mean in proper scale with her... 8 feet versus 5'4"... THAT would be cool!!!!

only water and radiation oozes could be works with this fountain. because you know, those liquids has a different kinds of materials. lava, blood and sludges are muddy and sticky...like a blood; i think you should find another fountain sprites from different games for create the variants of liquid fountains but waters and radiation oozes IMO. otherwise, those coloring is great.

well I'd say that's down to personal choice. I certainly wouldn't say that only water and nukage would work for this. I mean its all dependent on how you choose to imagine it:
to me, based on what you say being a stead-point of the unwritten rules of doom environmental effects; it would then only work for water and brown as I have always seen the nukage, blood and lava all being a thick gloopy jollop and the brown simply being dirty water... so try to remember, everyone sees these liquids differently.

I guess I just thought that if you had one liquid fountain this style the whole lot should be for consistency's sake...

still interesting point though. made me think LOL!

would like some suggestions on this though  not strife though, I don't think theirs look like much of anything...

anyway just did thisfor a laugh:
barrel splat.PNG
actually love it now and use it as an altdeath in-game. just need the duke3d metalbreaking sound to make it sound great in-game too :)
I have it as a half-strength blast compared to the standard explosion
I was going to use the 'puddle' too (the last two frames) but this seemed odd somehow and I just let the ooze dissapear after the death...

10points for anyone who can tell me which game I stole this idea/original sprite from? you should know LOL

I think that gloopier liquids would not squirt so high on a single column of water/liquid. So perhaps the lava (etc) could be made using edits that shorten the original Duke fountain.

Please forgive a critique from a non-artist but, to me, her eyes look a little high in her head to me. ie they look just slightly closer to the top of her head than they should be. Not by much; maybe 3 to 5 pixels or so at most.

Common mistake. I found out what works well is giving them glasses. It forces you to put the ears, eyes, and nose at the correct heights (at least, relative to each other).

The placement of the eyes looks fine. It's clear this is meant to be stylized a bit, and the eyes seem to be in proportion with the rest of the face. What's bothering me is the shading, namely the gratuitous use of textures and filters. :p

The stylisation is fine as is the slightly exaggerated size of the eyes but they still look a little high to me. I dunno, acknowledging that my shading is rubbish and converting it to a 256 colour gif did some damage too, I think 3 pixels lower looks more correct. YMMV.

I would have tried moving them more but I suspect that I'd have messed up the shading or something so that my point was being lost in how ugly I'd made the rest of the image look. :P

How about we blow some life into those colors.
