I was wondering... When the new beta will be released? I can't wait to try my babies!

I've finally gotten to a point where the armor mechanic is nearly done, still a few glitches here and there, but otherwise they all work.
Next, I'll probably experiment with set bonuses, then maybe make some weapons.

The armor mechanic took waaaaay more work than I originally thought it would, I really need a break from that sort of complex simplicity before I work on the boots.
It's gonna be a while, even with me working on it non-stop every single day like I am.

Lavaboots.. What do you think about them? Too old fashioned?

I was wondering... Are you sure you want Lava Boots in all three colors? I think they wouldn't look to much good with a green or blue rim... (And beside, wasn't Lava Armor unique?)

Actually, they aren't related to the Lava armor at all, they were an assembly. But I decided to make it a single item in a set with the Lava Armor, mostly because it's effect would be identical to the Enviroboots. So yeah, don't worry about fiddling with the Lava Boots. They''re good.

I've been a bit burnt out lately from the non-stop coding, took a bit of a break. I'll be back to working at it full time soon.

Oh, I did some multiplayer testing with the current indev build I've got, it was quite amusing. I ended up with one of the most obscene weapons ever, Nuclear Plasma Rifle with PFFB, which annihilated Cyberdemons in a few seconds. We found a whole bunch of bugs, including but not limited to; invisible brawling Technicians, infinite Ballistic Vests, broken Nuclear Plasma Rifle variants. Good fun.

Boots will protect against the Slime damagetype, which is caused by the various damaging floors in Doom. Unfortunately, because there is only Slime damage, there is no way of telling the difference between acid and lava, so boots will just protect against all.

I see, and I imagine that creating a script that associates a kind of damage "reading" the sector floor texture will create only caos (if that's possible, and I know nothing about coding).
Meanwhile, as I promised the enviromental boots.

I've discovered I have today much more free time then I expected... So... Suprise! Here they are! The last three boots!
I've tried to give them the same color of doomguy's sprite boots. I hope I didin't get out of palette..

I love how far one can go working on hellish-evil-fleshy things...
So I made Living Boots! And they came out sick! And, even if they beg me to kill them... I love them!

Photoshop, only Photoshop and a lot of copy and paste, desaturating and recolouring.
