Wow, Mega's downloader is weird. Okay, that aside, why is this mod distributed as loose files inside a zip archive, with a copy of 7zip and a batch file to build a pk3? It seems rather pointless to me- just distribute the pk3, and if we want to have a look inside we can unzip it or just open it up in SLADE (it has built-in support for pk3). My source port of choice is GZDoom, and it appears that this mod is targeted towards an OpenGL port- not a problem but you should mention it since a lot of people use vanilla ZDoom with its software renderer.

I played through the first map of Heretic. Right away I noticed two things. Pretty lights, and nothing changed. It took me about halfway through the map to realize that you might have used MAPxx numbering instead of the ExMx numbering Heretic expects. Sure enough, map map01 took me to the right level. I only played through the first level so far- I might get to the others later.
Spoiler: playthrough
Slightly humourous runthrough aside, this is what I have to say about the map. The architecture is excellent- everything looks very nice and even looks like it might be something. Beautiful and plausible rarely come together, so kudos on that. Map design, gameplay wise, is meh, but I'm usually looking for something more than the usual shoot things/find keys/flip switches. If you put that aside, the only real issues are ammo for a weapon that isn't there (or very difficult to find), and very little health at the beginning of the level (it gets better later). The mod is missing graphics for a thing and the bow isn't selectable, but those aren't problems with the map itself.

Besides, it's a Heretic mod. The only game less appreciated than Heretic is Strife.
