Let's face it: Shooters today suck. Their levels are too
linear, they aren't challenging enough, and they play more
like interactive movies than the experiences we once loved
up until the mid-2000s. Call of Dooty II is an ode to the
terrible shooters that now inhabit the market and have taken
over the gaming industry by storm. This WAD isn't supposed
to be fun to play - it's here to make a statement. -Chubzdoomer

[08/21/13] EDIT

V1.1 update is out! This update adds auto healing and the bloody screen effect, which were both absent
in the v1.0 version of the mod


Changelog:

V1.1:

- Fixed the uncentered crosshair; it is now centered
- Added auto healing
- Added bloody screen when your health drops below 100%
- Changed the Imp Hunter's achievement text from "Kill 3 imps" to "Killed 3 imps."
- Some minor MAP01 and MAP02 changes

STORY

The story is about Corporal Shepard, a member of the 15th Light Drop regiment, who, along with his squad
goes to invade an Russian base to search for the nuclear devices they are hiding, but will they find those devices

GAMEPLAY
-----------------------------------

Call of Dooty: Resurgence's gameplay is similiar to that one from Call of Dooty II by Chubzdoomer,
It features 6 new achievements and 1 QTE Event, 4 by the normal gameplay, 1 Secret Achievement, and a Collector achievement for getting all of them.

This was really... lacking. It was basically a retooling of concepts and plot from the original, except in an even more linear and uninspiring map. The dialogue is filled with grammatical errors, the crosshair isn't even centered, many mechanics from the original such as auto-healing are absent, the QTE is recycled basically verbatim from the original (except I ran past it and the script didn't seem ready to compensate)... this really offers nothing of substance to the Call of Dooty franchise.

I'm sorry to say, I was not impressed.

Did you even have Chubzdoomer's permission to do a spinoff?

The answer is YES on all counts, i got this question so many times, this is even stated in the text file that comes with the wad,

It's also shorter than both of them.
[MW2 had a 6ish hour campaign, MW3 had a 4ish hour campaign.. yeah]

The next Call of Dooty should have kids and dogs killed on-screen in completely pointless and anticlimactic ways (think Mock2 map28), because it's not modern Call of Duty without THE HORRORS OF WAR!
