Hello,

That's an indication that your system might be using what's called a "Software" OpenGL driver (generally accompanied by a frame rate of 0). There have been a few reports of stability issues - first, make sure you are using the latest release (1.36D-Win32). Next, be sure this is unzipped in a clean folder (not overwriting any other version of EDGE). Finally, make sure you aren't using a render wrapper as 3DGE has no support for something like that. If all else fails, delete your "edge2.cfg" so the engine can revert to default. Make sure your system has up-to-date video drivers (NOT the packed-in versions that ship with Windows).

Additionally, in order to properly diagnose the problem, I'll need a copy of your edge2.log and your debug.log. Please, upload them so I can be of assistance. This will tell me exactly what I need to know to fix your problem.

What in god's name did I ever do to those birds to make them want me dead so bad? It makes me want to shoot a horse, but they seem impervious to bullets, so the chickens have to die.

Seriously, a really fun mod, although I've never been too keen on 3dge. I know I'm not being very original or sensitive for saying that, but I have my reasons.

You're the second person to dislike the hawks, and I was never fully keen on them myself (see earlier post). They have been scrapped, but the stray dogs will remain.

A second beta is on the way.

I don't necessarily dislike the hawks, though they could be less prevalent as well as doing less damage. Other than that and weapons taking a little too long to reload, everything seems very balanced and satisfying, with awesome graphics and sound.

Better idea, let the hawk be neutral, and if it gets hit by anything, it goes after the nearest target. lol

I did put focus on getting the reloading as fast as possible, it's still much faster than you would expect in real life. The revolver reloads pretty darn fast in my opinion (a little too fast actually) as well as the sawed-off (individual one), real revolvers of the old west did not reload like that (i've done my research). I did just recently slightly increase the speed of the reloading for the double-barreled shotgun. This simply changes gameplay, you'll have to use different tactics than you would in Doom.

i think if gatling gun shading is doesn't work for you, you should replace that dynamite sprite. that's really don't fits at doom's graphic.
how about use outlaw's dynamite with among gatling gun? that was not drawn thing, it was 3d model though.

New beta:
http://www.mediafire.com/?plwjdwy34sddt4j

Notable changes/improvements/additions:

Smoother fist animation along with an added secondary attack (uppercut)
Improved Winchester animation
Picking up all badges on current level gives you a bonus
New sprites and graphics for the dynamite (still work-in-progress)
New sound effect for the Gatling gun

Lots 'n' lots of interactive objects:

If your health gets below 50 you can drink water from a cactus for a maximum of 50 health
New and better barrels
Chickens can be kicked and killed
All "living creatures" can be gibbed (vultures, girls, etc.)
Pushable objects (barrels and stools)
Almost all other scenery objects can be destroyed or interacted with

This will be the last beta for a while. Enjoy.
