Pirate Doom! A GZDoom TC which features:

- 18 maps of good old runnin' and gunnin' action;

- eye patches, bandannas, beards and mustaches for all Doom monsters;

- cutlass, flintlock, cannons and other rusty weapons;

- cool caribbean music;

- compatible with any mapset;

- cooperative and deathmatch modes fully implemented;

- Ships, islands, treasures and rum.

version 1.8 is out:
DOWNLOAD PIRATE DOOM!

Pirate Doom doesn't use jumping or crouching, leaving you a free finger to alt fire with almost every weapon. Here's the list:
1. Cutlass: swings cutlass / dash move
2. Flintlock: shoots / swings cutlass
2. Dual flintlocks: shoots alternately / shoots both at the same time
3. Shotgun: shoots / shotgun butt
3. Sawed off shotgun: shoots / swings cutlass
4. Gatling gun: spins up a little and shoots / spins up more and shoots faster
5. Cannon: shoots cannonball / shoots copper ball
(copper ball is bigger, slower, inflicts more damage, rips through small enemies and reflects projectiles)
6. Minicannon: shoots / shoots 6 rounds at once
7. Dynamite: throws / throws farther
7. Dynamite Launcher : shot / triple shot

Fittingly to the style the view sprites are just like Outlaws

I really enjoyed this! Your eye for detail is great, especially little details like the missing floorboard inside. Reminds me a lot of some of those cartoony PS2-era games like Sly Cooper. I also enjoy how parts of the map changed as it went along. It was just the right amount of linear prodding.

Thank you! Sly Cooper, I´ll take a look. I saw some pics with nice textures hehe

Yes, weapons are from Outlaws, music from Monkey Island, textures from Rayman (ripped by MSPaintR0cks) and Melee Island textures were hand drawn by Jochen Isensee.

I´m planning to make the third map in a circus, any ideas of a texture resource?

We don't condone piracy here. :P

You should ask Jabberwock about this project, he made a cyberpirate a while ago, so maybe he'll be interested.

As an old fan of the Monkey Island game, let me express my appreciation for this project! :D
One little curiosity: did you use the Outlaws HUD sprites in their original form, or did you modify them to suit the needs of the mod? If so, they look very very good :!:

Oh man, this made me laugh my ass off.
But still, this mod looks both awesome and hilarious, looking forward to it. :lol:

Thanks, I modified them a little bit (outlaws does not features a sword :wink: ), but the pistol sprites are untouched, I think they look better on GZDoom than in the original game.
