looks awesome... i loved the original Aliens TC back in the days of showelware cds, and is still amazing after 17 years it was made... and this could looks a perfect sequel of the 3rd millenium... downloaded right now...

Ah nice. I love the sound effects from AvP. I decided to play with only autosaves and no quicksaves which made it a bit more intense. Heh on the last level though there were a lot less autosaves. It was pretty crazy. Heh took me a while to realize I had sentry guns the whole time and not only flares. I thought those were ammo boxes for grenades at first. Flares were really useful on the hive level.

I ended up having to quicksave when I got to the queen after many tries. Took me a while to figure out what was going on but I think I was supposed to just run by?

Now I'm on the Sulaco. Not sure what I'm supposed to do to win. Just shoot the queen till it dies? I'm not sure if it's invincible or not.

I sure hope you replace the drop ship with an md2 model or something LOL. It looks kinda temporary if you know what I mean. Maybe the loading robots too...

Also took me FOREVER on level 1 to figure out what to do. Turns out that glass blocking me from the red key had one part of it broken. It was pretty much impossible to see. Maybe use a texture that has glass cracks to better show the hole.

Is there a reason to use the flashlight? I used it on level 1 in the beginning and that's about it. If I have it out I'd die if an alien comes up on me. Also the sprite on it is a little meh. In fact all the guns have sprites that are a little, meh... I can see black pixel outlines on the edges and they're a bit small too. And the flame thrower item looks all teal like it's the chaingun in Wolfenstein.

Heh it's also probably way too late for this but in AvP the aliens were a lot easier to kill with the pulse rifle. The game was hard and scary because they would randomly spawn and sneak up on you. In this game it's more like, Oh shit one tough ass alien, better unload my magazine on it.

Not sure if you can do anything about the weird blockyness of the lighting on the flares. Probably GZdoom's fault.

The level design is impeccable, but the small details and the weapons and their graphics need some polish.

I was playing it yesterday night. What a coincidence, lol.

Also, I couldn't progress after finding the queen at the alien hive. :(

Is because i forget to mention in the first encounter with the queen, you must avoid she and escape from the hive fast as possible!
Like in the movie when Ripley and Newt faces the queen and she decides to not fight, just go back to the upper platform where Bishop is waiting with the Dropship.

This situation is like the same, you can't fight the queen (is indestructible in this level) so like the movie you must avoid she and go directly to the upper platform where a Dropship is waiting for escape.

In this new version, this is fixed and when you face the queen a message from your commander is displayed:
"COM:
Ignore the Alien Queen marine!
Don't fight her now. Go to the upper landing platforms. Hurry!"


Also play the new version, is much better than the previous one :D

The flashlight does not seem to want to work.

It illuminates itself/the gun sprite but does not actually project any sort of light.
