The Monster Resource Wad

Spearheaded by Nanami, the Monster Resource Wad has been available at the idgames archive for a while now. This wad shows off what can be done with the actor definition features that were first added in ZDoom 2.0.62 and features the following monsters that you are free to use (and, in fact, encouraged to use) in your own projects:

Hmm, that's a complete list of the monsters. But not the zombies. So here they are:.

  • Zombie Marine
  • Rapid Fire Trooper
  • Rocket Guy
  • Chainsaw Zombie

If you hit the quote button on his post, you'll see he used an <img> tag (not the BBCode equivalent) with the argument align=right.

The monster WAD Cacolantern and the Skulltag Cacolantern only share their name. If I see it correctly even the attack is different. Doesn't Skulltag's Cacolantern shoot 2 missiles per attack?

Nope. It's the same.

The one in the MRW appears to only have some altered sprites. The rest is pretty much the same.
