The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Got the third and, I hope, last cast on my leg. Foot now elevated to 90 degrees and tendon healing nicely apparently. It'll be months before it is back to normal though.

First time I failed an Exam. Haven't gotten my score back yet, but I knew my score as soon as I got towards the end...

Is the reason you're out of work your serious anger management problems and outright refusal to seek treatment?Project Dark Fox wrote:There's a reason I'm out of work, but I was immediately threatened with getting beat to hell after it. Yes, anger management issues. Am I refusing to seek treatment? Absolutely not. If there was a local psychiatrist that I could afford (remember, I can't drive), I'd immediately take the opportunity!

Well, if the cops are getting involved, I don't think it'll be your decision to make very soon!

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
They haven't tried to arrest me, it was a police investigator only trying to get some info over the phone or for me to at least come to the Station. The pasts several hours I'm wondering if it was the restaurant that blew the whistle, or what I actually filled into my unemployment application that signaled them to raise a red flag. I don't usually get really angry unless it was for a good reason, ad an employee set that off. I didn't get fired, I quit.
Most of the inane "angry" posts here are just for show, I have a rep to uphold.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
So let me get this straight - you had to work with an annoying co-worker (like everybody else with a job in the entire world ever), and instead of just gritting your teeth and making a mental note to buy yourself a nice icecream sandwich as a reward for taking his shit all day (a relatively minor grievance in the grand scheme of things to be sure, unless he was rubbing your leg and discussing handkerchief code or something), your brainworms started biting and you started throwing anything within arm's reach at him because you completely lack the ability to deal with people problems in any way other than fury. Your bosses catch on, politely ask you to leave forever, and the brainworms once again demand that employer recommendations or letters to help you get unemployment benefits are for pussies, resulting in you basically writing an unemployment letter that more closely resembles an Anal Cunt lyrics book than a polite one-sentence notification of you putting in your notice (like everyone else leaving a job who ever wants to have a job again). Now the police are sniffing around to see if your idiocy is criminal, you're probably going to get taken to court for threatening people in meatspace, and you still consider being an asshole on the internet a badge of honor.
Am I getting this right? Or did I miss some kind of "self-diagnosed disorder" somewhere along the line?

Was that really necessary? Or are you intentionally trying to garner hate for no real reason?

Meanwhile I'm dealing with all sorts of crap at Hyrule. Mostly we mods got a good chewing out for not really doing our jobs and a realization that the owner isn't going to do this job for us- that's what WE were for! I'm gonna relax a bit by managing some inventory.

@Kinsie: It sounds like PDF has a definite understanding of his own personal issues, and I don't think he needs you to condescendingly insult him for something he already knows. It just makes you look like an asshole too.Project Dark Fox wrote:Yes, anger management issues. Am I refusing to seek treatment? Absolutely not. Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
It was a small culmination of things within the single working day.
1: We had a busy day, we got slammed hard, and the manager was putting people on break just before the rush. (I was not one of them) Yeah, I would have, too, if you know, these weren't little league baseball teams coming in. That meant there was a tournament going on nearby, and the rush was definitely imminent.
2: I'm being told what to do during this rush, conflicting commands from about three different people. None of them being the manager, who was out back smoking a cigarette and avoiding the rush in the first place. "I'm not Superman, come on! Let me do MY job!"
3: Rush is over. We're cleaning up and getting our cash situation all settled so that most of us can go home. My knees are in extreme pain* by now and I can barely keep upright. This is about when adrenaline alone is keeping me up. Manager finally comes up, five minutes before I clock out, to take our cash drawers and count them down. She's not a slow counter by any stretch, so I expected to be out on time and resting for two hours for the second half of the split shift. She doesn't come out for 20 minutes. Yes, this irritates me, especially when she says that "something is missing" and won't specify what. Am I $50 short? What, lady?
4: I'm taking orders on the shift's Overtime, so to speak, okay, not a big deal, especially since this is a manager's drawer. Whatever. I take a decent sized family order I know the specifics on it. I try to tell the cook about it, and I guess he wasn't paying attention, because it was all kinds of FUBAR (along with some missing food in general!). I tell the cook, "Hey, we're missing some stuff here." "Oh, it's all in that plate." "This is a couple people, man, not a party plate!" "Well then give me the plate back! Fuckin' retard..." That's about where I lost it and shoved some trays at him, one such tray having a salad on it. I clocked out and sat outside, and just one minute later, he got in my face, threatening me in ebonics.
EDIT: This was NOT going to get me to lose my job, because everyone was a little stressed out. It was when I told off the manager that she wasn't doing hers that I took off my shirt and hat (I had an undershirt...) slammed them down, and told her off, "You do YOUR job," and stormed out for good. I got home, but not without immediate attention to my failing knee joints.
* = I went to the doctor for this last week and apparently the drugs I took did NOTHING.

I do have a friend with a ride, the problem is, he has school, work, and an internship, so working a schedule around him is fucking impossible, you fucking prick!Kinsie wrote:What I don't get is why he can't ask a friend who does have a car to give him a lift t-Oh.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
So he calls you a retard, and you reply with raw anger and unfocused physical force. I'm sure he sees you as his intellectual superior now. The correct answer, well, the one that doesn't involve drinking, is to think of the sweet-ass special treat you're gonna buy yourself with that paycheck (the aforementioned icecream sandwich, in the previously given example), grit your teeth, and get on with the thing you're getting paid the moneys to do.Project Dark Fox wrote:That's about where I lost it and shoved some trays at him, one such tray having a salad on it.
Like I said, if this heads to court I suspect you won't have a choice if it's court-mandated, so you should probably get a leg up on this!Project Dark Fox wrote:I do have a friend with a ride, the problem is, he has school, work, and an internship, so working a schedule around him is fucking impossible, you fucking prick!
