Pretty cool. I'm not quite sure they'd fit into Doom with the art style though. :P

actuallyn i find those flames a good flame attack for archviles :/

Dunno about that, I can imagine a boss using those in a nova attack of some sort.

Awesome sprites. I just don't figured out how to use them... How do I use high quality sprites like these? You know, like these ones in PNG format or with many colors and black background... They don't work very well for me.

With additive translucence - black becomes transparent and only colorful effect remains. Its exactly how they are used in original game.

So long as you use white lighting / black fading. I believe colored fog treats additive blends weirdly.

Yeah, additive looks much less bright in colored fogs and fades.

Not the green tinge, as I think that's done to the view as a whole after everything is rendered. I don't know about the inverse effect on sprites, because for some treason I never get that. (I don't get the InverseMap from the invulnerability sphere, either, just fullbright...)
