Clean up a pickup spite?

Can someone clean this sprite up to look more Doom-style?

I wanted to put it on a marine skin, since it's my favourite gun from UT2k4.

The front was made from a heavily modified plasma rifle. The back was taken from your attempted sprite. I couldn't have done it, however, without that bigger picture as reference. Feel free to rescale in DECORATE as necessary; probably .85 would do the trick.

Yeah, both. Centered, first, so it blends in with the Doom weapons. Side-view weapons clash with the centered Doom weapons pretty badly (All Out War 2, on Skulltag, is a good example, no offense to Voltlock).

Edit: Oh, got a reference screenshot, from in-game, if anyone wanted to take a crack at it.

That's gonna be really hard to work with because of the background. Maybe if you could get a screenshot with the gun pointed up in the sky or something, it'd be easier.

Here it is with a transparent background (and no hud XD), and I edited out that stupid floating rectangle. The background was tan-ish (ONS-Torlan), and it unfortunately blended with the tranclucent lightning in the front.

I have already ripped graphics from Unreal 2K4 in the past, set the resolution to the lowest possibe, then go to that space-skyscraper level and take the screens facing space, this way you have a black background, you just need to edit out some stray stars and your done :)

ONS-Torlan's sky was pretty much the same color tan, in that spot I pointed at, so it worked pretty well.

Someone on Skulltag asked if I could make a Redeemer Marine skin, and that was one of the UT weapons I wanted to make a marine skin out of, so I figured I might as well get around to it. Would someone be willing to make a Doom-y pickup sprite out of this?
