Well, who'd have thought? Strange language we speak, eh?
For the record, "s's" seems to be the commonly-accepted form in Texas, in case anyone happens to come down yonder. ;P

Congratulations everyone, you've devoted an ENTIRE page of discussion to the username of someone on the internet! He's probably feeling very special now.
So when's 2.3.1 coming?

Erm.... You'll forgive me if I comment that Southerners' opinions on sophisticated things like grammar don't really hold much weight with me. Anybody that feels the need to pluralize "you" (y'all) or turn noises like "aight" and "yonktoo" into words doesn't have much room to talk about proper English.Xaser wrote:For the record, "s's" seems to be the commonly-accepted form in Texas, in case anyone happens to come down yonder. ;P
See what I did there?

What, y'all don't say aight up yonder?
The more places you live and visit, the more all these different accents don't sound that strange. Personally I find the flexibilty of spoken language and the differences in dialect to be kind of poetic and refreshing.
For the record, though, this s's business bugs the crap out of me ;p
Ok, I feel like someone should bump the 2.3.1 thread now <_<

To be honest, I always figured "aight" to fall more under "gangsta" slang. You're more likely to hear an "awrite" down in these parts. ;P
Eep. And the newer version gets buried further!

Re: ZDoom 2.3.0 released
I grew up with both my mother's and my father's accents, so I have a mix of the two, I sound like a freaking redneck yankee.
Of course, I also have a lot of influence from where I live, too, so instead I sound like a midwestern redneck yankee.
I don't consider myself as having an accent. I just consider it... "unique".
