The title says it all.
When I launch it from a xterm, I can’t use CTRL-C, the error message is printed repeatedly.
I must kill ZDoom with -9.
Maybe ZDoom should use another sound output, or at least give the choice?

Have you tried using a more recent version of zdoom? Try getting the latest version from the svn and compiling it: [wiki]Compile ZDoom on Linux[/wiki]

No, actually I won’t because I don’t want to lose my Heretic savegames.
I’ll try it later.
P.S.: I know how to compile ZDoom, but maybe not the svn version.

You can just download and compile zdoom to a new directory. This bug report as it is now is about useless as the soundcode has been tremendously changed since 2.20. Version 2.20 is more than a year old now.

Since this report is obviously about code that no longer exists I may as well close it now.
