heh, that wont help if you put it into a doom wad. if you make them PNG's tho. it will look just as good in doom as in hexen or heretic.Rolls wrote:Here I put a link with the Horn Beast with the HeXen pallette: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?xjm0dmwzydy

Re: [Project]Hexen II Monsters
Isn't there already a thread for the Beastiary and Rolls' monsters?
@Rolls: Looks pretty good, but I don't like the death. The original just goes limp and floats to the bottom of the tank.

Re: [Project]Hexen II Monsters
For the moment I only quit the blood explosion of the Kraken. Maybe you like this death, because the Kraken deflates.
With this sequence of sprites the Kraken could fall gradually in the deep sea.
If you have ideas for more changes say me, I´m thinking about it

Re: [Project]Hexen II Monsters
Looks great. It reminds me the monster "Monstar" used as a vehicle on Silverhawks XD.
What I don't get is why you call it Kraken? Yeah Kraken is a sea monster, but the one from Hexen II was Hydra.
IMO it'd be cool to see two monster, a small creature (hydra), that just spits slime (I don't know if it's possible to blind the player for a moment without using ACS) and a big badass that's going to tentacle rape you if it finds you underwater.

Ah, thank you! I remembered it wasn't called a Kraken, but I couldn't remember the name of it. Though, come to think of it, it's real name is on the progress list.Vegeta(dw) wrote: Yeah Kraken is a sea monster, but the one from Hexen II was Hydra.
@Rolls: That death works, thanks!

I think the Skull Wizard could have the shoulders of D'Sparil, they're basically the same thing and the size isn't very different.

Re: [Project]Hexen II Monsters
I think that the idea of Vegeta is great. The shoulders of the original Skull Wizard of HeXen II and the shoulders of D´Sparil are almost equal.

Re: [Project]Hexen II Monsters
You may want to be more careful about what image format you're saving these in. I edited your post to link to your image instead of just displaying it, because that's an eight megabyte BMP file that takes forever to load, even on my connection. Imagine the reaction of somebody on dialup - i.e. Enjay.Rolls wrote:For the moment I only quit the blood explosion of the Kraken. Maybe you like this death, because the Kraken deflates.

If I recall correctly, the HeXen 2 Hydra did NOT look like an octopus - he looked more like THIS guy:
