[Project]Hexen II Monsters

For high-res texture/sprite projects, sprite-fix patches, music add-ons, music randomizers, and other graphic/sound-only projects.

Projects for any Doom-based engine (especially 3DGE) are perfectly acceptable here too.

That's a good monster, I hope you use it on your personal mod too.

Any chance for a reinterpretation of Eidolon in sprites?

The original Hexen 2 Medusa doesn't have any arms. Though, it does temporarily turn you to stone (freezes you, while other monsters can beat you up).

@Rolls: Thanks! Very nice sprite-set! Fits in perfectly with the other monster sprites I have. :D

Now, I just need to find a way of getting it to freeze you without dipping into ACS. I wonder if speed powerups can take negative integers...

Well, I don´t thought about it, but it would be interesting, to create a magic that become in stone.
I'll work on it when I finish other things :)

May be it can shoot a ripper projectile that drops an impassible (and invisible) object when hits a target. THe object is small, so you'd not note it if it hits a wall, and disappears after a second or two.

Something like that might work, actually... I'll play around with it.

@Toenail: I don't like using ACS in monster resources, though I'm usually happy to include ACS-activatable states, in the monster itself. :P

I can imagine a map where you enter a large hall full of these 'statues', then the thing ambushes you :)
