does zdoom support open gl?

Post by jonc2006 »

im new to zdoom, ive been using doomsday for playing doom and such, but i need to use zdoom in order to play some custom maps that wont run on dmsday, when i run zdoom with the hexen wad in the same folder, its graphics look like the old ms dos version, same thing with the doom series as well. does zdoom support open gl like doomsday does and if so, where do i get it? and does zdoom support high rez textures? thanks

you'll want Gzdoom for Opengl because Zdoom doesn't support Opengl.

I believe both Zdoom and Gzdoom support high res textures. I know Gzdoom does.

Why not? You don't even get the most recent version on that site...

I didn't know ZDoomGL was still alive. I'm glad GZDoom did not kill it, competition is a driving force.
