Die!

Was playing daedalus.wad and this came up. Could be my just my computer tho, since it's been acting very not-stable lately.

Information like this can be read from the crash message, look about half way down:

ZDoom version 2.0.60

Command line:
C:\DOOM\\ZDOOM.EXE -file wads\daedalus.wad
IWAD: doom2.wad

Current map: MAP02

Oh... well, when the error is a huge mountain of numbers that doesn't make sense, I don't make a habit of looking all the way through it...

Oh they all make perfect sense, at least to the compiler. Using the above information it should be able to point you right to where the issue occured, and what was happening in the game at the time. Biff was just trying to give you some helpful advice for the future, not questioning why you didn't read the entire crash message.

Now that is surprising. I have had crashes on MAP05 (Engine Room) rarely, but never MAP02 (Engineering). By any chance, do you remember where and what you were doing in the MAP at the time of the crash?

There was nothing unusual going on at the moment of the crash; I was just running around, trying to figure out where to go. As I said, it could be just my computer failing it. :P

Espi: I'd be inclined to agree that it's the computer or local config, since there have only been a couple of reports of crashes and at least a couple hundred folks running it (122 have downloaded from teamtnt.com so far, and it wouldn't be the preferred host).

I don't have 2.0.60 source set up at the moment, but after a few days to catch up on all the stuff I didn't get done the last couple of weeks, I'll probably pitch in on stuff like this. Randy seems to be pretty busy of late.

Of course they make sense, though, I usually can't do anything real with the stack contents (it's too much). EIP is very important.

Fixed. Well, actually I added a bounds check at the crash point. If I'm interpreting it right, it looks like it thought a two-sided texture had a height of 43008 pixels, which I assume is wrong. Without knowing more, I can't figure out why that happened.
