lightning2 (MAPINFO)

does the same as lightning but makes a line throught the sky so it looks like lightning

I suspect that DIY could mean use a sprite(s) in a skybox.

Use a script to show the sprite at the same time as your lightning flash, and sit back while the "oohs" and "aahs" come in form the players. :)
