i believe the engine already tehcnically supports stereo rendering for VR in opengl mode (but not in vulkan mode), but doesn't support motion controls like the VR-focused forks, and i don't think any of the devs have experience with, nor proper hardware/space for VR development. (ex. i own a quest 2 headset myself but haven't had the free space to properly use it for over a year now)Lossvoise wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 10:47 am Guys, is there any plan to support VR for UZDoom? Some kind people made a port for Quest 3 based on LZDoom, which in turn is based on an older version of GZDoom. It would be super cool to install current mods on the standalone version of Quest 3.
As a sound designer, I'm especially interested in playing VR because of the binaural audio and immersion.
that said, improvements to VR will be welcome from new contributors
