Hello,
I’ve been experimenting with GZDoom using the UDMF map format (I built the map in GZDoom Builder). When I load it in GZDoom, the level’s geometry renders as thin black angled lines against the sky and the architecture is completely broken. I suspect I’m missing a step when compiling or saving the map. The level only uses a few 3D sectors and is otherwise a vanilla-style map.
Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Need help with Gzdoom UDMF map
3D sectors (160) are easy enough.
manually https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iM7qOXN0Lpw&t=53s
3D mode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdMHTGhpmpc&t=24s
If needed the heights can be tweeked in Visual Mode.
But, for your map, more info is needed.
The best would be to provide a link to the map.

Yep, providing a link to the map would be best.
Have you tried running the error checker? (Hit F4 to bring it up.)
Also, you mentioned GZDoom Builder. It became Ultimate Doom Builder some years ago now. So, if you are still on GZDB, it might be worth upgrading to UDB as it contains lots of fixes and improvements. viewtopic.php?t=66745
