Thank you, sir.

I originally took this to mean that the issue had been fixed and v3.2.8 had been released. However, the SLADE downloads page only shows up to v3.2.7. I take it you meant that the issue will be fixed in the next version., correct?

it has been fixed in this special version of of 3.2.7 https://github.com/sirjuddington/SLADE/ ... 2794097207 that I guess the download page was not updated with.
Re: SLADE Discussion - Latest: v3.2.7 (25/Dec/2024)
Thanks. I am currently not in a pressing need for the feature I was requesting, so I'll just wait for the official 3.2.8 release. However, if the need arises, I will download and use the updated v3.2.7.bimshwel wrote: ↑Wed Jun 04, 2025 6:32 pmit has been fixed in this special version of of 3.2.7 https://github.com/sirjuddington/SLADE/ ... 2794097207 that I guess the download page was not updated with.

I have two physically separate sectors that are joined as one. I'd like to split them so each is its own sector. Is there a way to do this?
Re: SLADE Discussion - Latest: v3.2.7 (25/Dec/2024)
I use UDB for mapping but I think if you move your mouse over one of the areas, all of the various sector parts will flash-highlight. However, if you press Insert (assuming default key-binds) the one that your mouse is over will be allocated as a new sector.
[Edit:] Yes, on a quick try, that worked. FWiW, in UDB the same thing can be achieved by pressing M for make sectors mode and then clicking on the areas that you want to become their own separate sectors.

Thanks.
I already know about the make sectors mode in UDB. I just wanted to know if I can achieve a similar thing in SLADE because that's what I'm using for mapping currently, even though I have UDB installed, too.

There is something that has bothered me about Slade for a while now and I wonder if it happens to anyone else and if it can be fixed?
If I have a file (WAD, PK3, whatever) open in Slade and I am inspecting a text lump, highlight some text and ctrl-c to copy it, the text gets copied to the clipboard.
However, if I then quit Slade and go into another program and press ctrl-v, Windows has "forgotten" that I copied something, so I can't paste it.
If I check my clipboard history, sure enough, the copied text is there (and I can reactivate it) and an obvious solution is to not do the "quit Slade" step in the above sequence until I have finished pasting, but I get caught out by this over and over and if it was possible to address, it would be great.
I have no idea why it happens, but Slade is the only program I have experienced this with.
