Sometimes the HUD doesn't render at all (see the attached screenshot). It happens when starting a level. The startup sequence doesn't show up. I could not find reliable steps to reproduce this: sometimes it happens, sometimes not.

Pistol start is on both in GZDoom and in Final Doomer.
Restarting the level with `map *` or `changemap ...` fixes the UI.
Besides that, great mod! Having a blast with it.
