Funnily enough, the reason I started looking for a new HUD and using Helmeter is because FlexiHud is causing Access Violation crashes for me and I've been unable to figure out why. Probably clashing with one of my other mods, I suppose.

No worries though, it's only a minor issue since I can still use "Query Item" to check my quantity. Kinda gives the vibe of Doomguy checking his pockets, actually.

v1.4 is out. Sorry for the wait, I've been unable to work lately due to a mixture of burnout and personal issues.

Changelog:
-Added inventory display
-Remade the startup sequence and tweaked the death sequence
-Volume slider has been separated into categories
-Music can now be optionally muted on death
-Centered messages are now replaced by the HUD just like the log messages are

There's a display tab on the right side of the hud, that shows my avatar and a number underneath which seemingly shows how much melee damage I'm doing. It only seems to show when I use my fists, but it doesn't go away. Doesn't seem like there's any way to disable it. Kind of distracting but everything else about the mod is really cool.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't have anything like that, maybe it's some other mod you have enabled, or some strange incompatibility.

That's probably it to be honest. It was only happening with BD Doom 64 VoH. False alarm lol

It has one feature in particular that I don't see often (ever): kill/item/secret counts that go UP instead of down. Thank you so much for making this.
