Welcome to the Wild West!
This is an extended and expanded remaster of this glorious Mod from 1996. 
New textures, sprites, items, models. Many balls and whistles from GZDOOM.

+New custom Maps!

El Passo:


Western Halls:

Update 2025:
-New MAPS
-Maps are brighter
-Now playable with any weapon mod. Recommended: High Noon Drifter

Changes:
Map Changes:
-All maps converted to UDMF
-Added 3D Floors, Slopes, Terrain Effects, etc
-Breakable Windows
-Polyobject Doors
-Healthbonus: It's Whiskey: 10 different types. Cheers.
-Barrels: Added more types. Most Barrels drop some stuff.
-Animals: Horses and birds are shootable, no real death animation, just feathers
-New Animals: Angry Birds, chickens and dogs.
-Added Coins. Money sacks are called "Fistful of Dollars" and the coins are just a "Dollar"
-Textures upscaled, some hires textures added from DHTP
-New Sprites for the Keys
-Different Skull for Berserk.
-More furniture: Tables, Chairs, etc.
-Lots of new textures: Generated with stable diffusion and new Signs, doors, etc.
-Rocks, Stones, Grass and more decoration

Weapons:
-Axe: Why not?
-Pistol: Pull your Pistol with altfire before shooting: More accuracy, more damage.
-Shotgun: Nothing new.
-Western Shotgun: Replaces SuperShotgun. Damage is about the same like the SSG.
-Heavy MachineGun: Replaces Chaingun: It's the Wild West. Noone knows where the hell DoomSlinger ripped this beast. It's really heavy and not very reliable.
-Dynamite: Replaces Rocketlauncher. Throw it or place some TNT on the ground and wait for BOOM!
IDK what the TNT Launcher Thingy in the vanilla version was meant to be, it just made no sense to me*?*

Enemies:
-I wrote Classes for all Enemies. They are a bit stronger but behave like before but Whiskey helps a lot!
-Named them: Gunslinger, Cowboy, ShotGunner, Bandito, Sheriff.
-New Deathsounds. The jingle was a bit annoying, so I replaced it with screams.
-New Enemy: Chicken.
-New Enemy: Angry Bird. 
-New Enemy: Zeke. Throws Molotow Cocktails.

Map 1: "El Passo"
-Visually improved
-You need 300 Dollars to finish the Map. There are about 350 Dollars in the map, so it should be pretty easy. The most of the money is in the bank.
-The Imp is retired. After 25 years of playing saloon music he is freed. You can beat him up if you need some Dollars.


Map 2 "A Fistful of Tacos":
-Added some secrets
-The Revenant is also retired. His home is a small room in the church. Maybe he can help you?


EPISODE: DEMONIC WEST":
Map 3: "Bloody River"
You have to somehow get across the river. Archi the retrained Archvile will help you for 600 Dollars. 
You can find him in the central building in his gym. Yeah, he got 2 new Jobs now: Fitness Trainer and Fairyman. Collect 600 Dollars and talk to Archi. He will raise a bridge across the river and assist you in the final battle.


Map 4: "Western Entry"
Get to the boat! This level is full of secrets. Can you find them all? And dont forget to collect some dollars for the ferryman!


Map 5: "Western Underhalls"
Something is lurking in the mines on this lost island. Hint: A weapon dealer at the end will help you out.... for a fistful of dollars....


Map 6: "Fort Doom"
There was a fort in the wild west - all nice and shiny - but suddenly demons invaded parts of it. Fight your way through Hordes of posessed Cowboys and ugly Demons!


Map 7: Isle of the Imps
Free the island from imps and other ugly demons before it is to late for us all! Meet the POWERIMP - Shoot-kill-stay alive!


Map 8: Got TNT?
Things don't always look the way they seem.
You think you've seen it, but then everything is different.
You think you know it, but it's not like that.
Don't be fooled, run back and look again.

Hot Damm,this is cool,plus can you at a later time in your convenience make a maps only version to be compatible with other gameplay/weapon mods?

We need more western maps for doom.

-Took a look at it. Both Mods have the same weapon class "Revolver", so they dont work together. Easy to fix I'll rename Revolver to Colt.
The health bar has a habit of highlighting things that can't be damaged such as rocks.
-OK. I'll fix that
Also I feel some of the higher res sprites look out of place with everything else being lower res.
-Just delete the "hires" folder in the pk3. I could make the hires stuff an addon...maybe.

Updated to v206:
OK. I fixed a few things:
-You can play it with High Noon Drifter
-Scouter no longer shows rocks, stones, etc...

Always happy to see more wild west themed wads. While I don't remember much of the original Fistful of Doom, one thing I do remember is the gawd awful cacophony of noise that it had which I'm glad has been toned down, especially that the whistle+choir thing from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly has been removed.

The first few maps are waaay too dark. When I think of the wild west my thought doesn't exactly go to eternal nights and buildings lit by the weakest candles imaginable. You often can't see what's shooting at you unless you're right up close or they are silhouetted against the skybox. Doubly so for the specters.

Mud sometimes hurt you, sometimes don't, even on the same map.

Graphic styles clash a ton, especially with barrels, there's four barrels, all with completely different art styles. I assume some of this was the case in the original but it's made even worse with the inclusion of the 3D objects.

Tnx for checking out this mod.
I made the maps brighter and fixed a lot of texture issues. Mud and Barrels will be also fixed in the near future.
ATM I am working on a new Episode "Demonic West" and the weapons.
Expect a release very soon.

I have a little problem with Fistful of Doom… maybe it’s my version of GZDoom ( 4.12?) but i tried to run it, it started to load but then gave me an error message “ line 2 -Bad Syntax” and it quit- so no fistful of doom for me, i guess

Playing it with gzdoom 4.14.1-> no issues. Everything>4.10 should be fine...

I added a second PlayerClass "Marine" that uses the default weapons and fiddled around with the status bar.. You can play it now with High Noon Drifter!
(Enemies are onlyreplaced in the custom Maps - I could add an option to replace monsters but Idk if it makes sense....)
