Is there a hud option? For some reason the hud is different from what I remember last time, which is what is shown in the videos.

Change the screen size ( - and = ) and make sure alternate HUD isn't turned on.

Heh, keep forgetting that. I swear it's like every time I come back to play a doom mod there's always some kind of setup that I keep forgetting. At this rate I'm gonna need some kind of manual to keep track of everything.

I'm having a weird issue with Strife where it bugs out, the game starts up alright but right off the bat there's stuff broken, I have to press 1 like five times before it finally switches to hands, in which case it's the basilissa hands instead of the default ones and I can't switch back to the handgun no matter how many times I press 2.

The weird thing is that it used to work in the past and I even beat the game with the mod but something has somehow broken it since the last time I played it and I haven't the foggiest idea what it could be.

Can I get help on guncaster not wanting to load I tried loading the main core of it and I got a buch a scripts errors I tried moving the load order around to see if anything would load but nuthing I also updated my gzdoom to 4.14.2 and it didn't work

This mod hasn't been updated for gzdoom 4.14. Try 4.13.2.

It's a diff, but I screwed it up anyway, so you'd have to do the edits manually, you can open it in a text editor. Does anyone have a means to contact PB or anyone else involved with the mod? I'd rather not upload an unofficial one but honestly this has gone on for long enough.
EDIT: Looks like it will be getting that update soon, along with Trailblazer and Russian Overkill. Presumably it'll fix the current issue with GZDoom but I'm also looking forward to the teased additions.

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I recall playing Guncaster and using a shoulder cannon. It was an addon to the power armor and not the altfire for the shotgun.

You're not misremembering but it was one of a few things that were disabled in 3.777. They still seem to be in the mod as dead code though if you want to have a go reactivating it, no guarantees that it still functions correctly. Anyway Ironblast is much more entertaining to have helping out.

I'm always up to learn something new. Now that you mention, it was very similar to Ironblast. What else was disabled?

All in the changelog and also some justification, including for the autocannon. Yes it is the same version that introduced Prophet but that only exists with the addon loaded and you do actually have to be directing the destruction so it's a lot more fun to whip out once in a while on a slaughtermap. Haven't tried it for a while but I recall Guncaster Vindicated is pre-3.777 so it may have kept some of those items, however it is a major rebalance trying more for challenge. Have fun.
