Still can't access site with firefox

Post by devlman127 »

It's been a week or two and I still can't access the zdoom forums on Firefox, I need to use a chromium installation to post this here. When is this going to be fixed?

I'm accessing the site with Firefox right now. This is the first I've heard of this problem. Can you provide any more info?

I'm also on Firefox, also works fine for me. What's the issue? Have you tried a clean install of Firefox? Maybe something's wrong in your settings...

To use Cloudflare as your DNS resolver in Firefox, you need to enable Use secure DNS in your browser settings.
May be it's that setting. Y wenas.

Works fine on Firefox here, so this definitely seems a user-error and not a site error.

I had this install of firefox for years, I'll try changing the DNS resolver the one guy suggested.
Edit: Setting the DNS resolver to choose manually and restarting the browser seems to have worked.

It worked for a while and then stopped working after a few hours. Seems to repeat this behavior upon restarting my system, only a few minutes of browsing until I cannot access it again.

Then look at your DNS. Firefox is a daily driver here and i never had issues accessing ZDoom, so i am pretty sure it isn't on the site, rather either browser or network settings.

Yep, Firefox for me too - on desktop and the app version on my phone. I'm here most days and I have not had any Firefox related issues.

I’ve noticed similar issues with Firefox recently, though mine was intermittent rather than constant. Clearing cache and disabling extensions seemed to help, but it’s definitely frustrating when it lingers. Hopefully the admins are aware and working on it. Using Chromium as a workaround isn’t ideal, but at least it keeps you connected meanwhile.
