GZDOOM crash on startup with NVIDIA drivers 566.* and later

Hello

On my admittedly old system (Core 2 Quad Q9550, GT1030, Windows 11 23H2) GZDOOM consistently crashes on startup when using NVIDIA drivers 566.03-572.16

This affects latest version of GZDOOM 4.14, but also affected previous version or two as well.

The launcher window opens fine, but after selecting a WAD and clicking Play Game the following crash window appears.

Selecting different rendering APIs in the launcher doesn't make a difference, it still crashes all the same.

Everything works correctly with NVIDIA drivers 552.44 and earlier.

This crash is in the NVidia driver and is beyond our control.

As usual you will have to contact the vendor (NVidia) in order to resolve this issue.
