Full options menu always on?
Is there a way to have the full options menu always active by default? Having to always press the button to enable it gets annoying sometimes.

Actually No there isn't a way to make it the default for all of the GZDoom/ZDoom instances, this is as far as i know, ZDoom family instances don't have this option to affect this to all of the iWADs (including TCs as well)

i thought he was not talking about one session default, but a all session default in which i messed up
there is just for one session default (usually with gzdoom.ini) as i understood.

Re: Full options menu always on?
I thought what I described was game specific - i.e.if you set if in Heretic, you'd also have to set it in Doom. However, it turns out I was mistaken - setting it in one game type also seems to affect the other games.
Either way, once you have set the simple menu to "off" (either by the menu or by the console) it is remembered across game sessions.
