Nuked SC55
Nuked SC55
I'm raising awareness of this emulator by NukeYKT which recreates the music hardware used by Robert Prince to create the original Doom 1 & 2 soundtracks. It's also very good for the multitude custom MIDIs used in user made WADs. https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/1 ... urce-code/

Nice gear to have! Hardware will always be in demand, it's nice that software alternatives now exist to so that more people can experience the sound of the original GM/GS synths. This is to SC-55 what Munt is to MT-32. A fairly powerful modern CPU is needed for Nuked SC-55 though.

Yeah - and I'm happy to point to Nuke SC55 for anyone wanting a good SC55 emulator - if they have the hardware to do so. For years I've been scouring for a SC55 soundfont, VSTi and what have you. Now here it is: The ultimate way to emulate a SC-55 and make your room a little more warmer (CPU being the source of heat and all... lol)!markanini wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 12:49 pm Nice gear to have!
