Damage HUD Indicators v1.0 (09/01/2023)

Post by Major Cooke »

Spoiler: Image
People have been asking for some time if I could put the damage indicators in Doom 4 For Doom in its own mod, so here it is.

Download it here!

Check the options menu for configuring at the bottom. Right now it's a bit sparse but I plan to expand it, eventually.

Enjoy!

I developed it solely for GZDoom. Sorry. But I hope it works well for you when you do.

Honestly a great substitute for DmgDirOverlay since I started running into problems with it only recently. My only suggestion would be to make an option to control how long the indicators stay on screen. Otherwise, Simple and effective!

I plan on something akin to that. Thanks! I didn't know another mod was already out there but oh well.

This is very convenient, thank you! But could you add an option to move the indicator icon closer to the crosshair? In my opinion, it is too far away.

It depends on the size and/or scale of of the crosshair you are using:

I can still make it more independently tweakable though, for sure.

I'm sure that would be appreciated and, or course, my examples were deliberately extreme.
