I find the whole advanced inventory and weapon customization pretty awesome and I wish Doom 1 episodes lasted long enough to let me acquire a good surplus of items and high level weapons.

But those barrels...the persistent effect on the acid and napalm barrels, when they're in the way and unavoidable, completely kills the gameplay momentum because of how long they last. It feels like a minute has to pass before I can move on and it's utterly tedious, which is a shame because otherwise, the varying effects do make the game more interesting.

Not sure about that since I haven't play the mod for a long time, but I think there's an option in game to disable the special barrel effs.

The PDA Pong game has a bug, when I exit the Pong game by pressing the alt-fire button to go back to the PDA menu, the game still appear on my screen and I cannot get rid of it, even if I turned off the PDA.

This is a known bug.

A bit late but you can modify the mod on your end, say by reducing the duration of the fire/nukage, or just removing those specific barrels from the possible types. They're in actors/misc/Barrels.txt specifically. Alternatively use Demolitionist class, the lingering damage effects are counted as splash damage. Also you aren't missing that much by turning them off except the odd nuke barrel, which can be extremely nasty on MAP23 if you like to do ironman playthroughs.

Havent played this in while, tried it today and it feels like every single line of code gives an error or warning, it's ridiculous.

Script error "x is not a type of inventory item"
Self pointer used in ambiguous context
Unknown class name
Script warning
Numeric type expected

I've played a bit, and the only upgrades i get seems to be phase devices. I get like 10 phase devices dropped per level.
That's on 4.10. GZ3.0 is the same, GZ2.0 cant even run DRLA, just crashes with an error.

The flood of start-up warnings are to be expected, some of them relate to optional mods. As for your issue, the mod should be compatible with current GZDoom, what mods are you loading and what order, and also you may want to redownload them in case a file got broken.

I have a question

What exactly does Stealth Replacements do in the Monster Pack settings.

Also is there a mod which has the DRLA classes as companions that we can summon or otherwise have?

If playing a megawad with "Stealth Monsters", Stealth Replacements will change those monsters with enemy Corrupted players.

The player classes are already availible as familiars in DRLAX. I mean something like how there's companion mods for the la tailor girl characters. Otherwise, thank you.

Another question, possibly a dumb one.

Are there any additional addons I can put for DRLA? I know theres the list Yholl put in the original post, but I want to ask if others made any additional addons for it, to add to my DRLA ZDL ^^

Besides the addons listed in the first post, there are some small DRLA specific addons I can think of:
  • DRLA Nazi Replacer: Changes the Nazi enemy into Corrupted Players. Some community maps use DEHACKED (no idea what it is exactly) for custom monsters and use the Nazi enemy space for the custom monsters.
  • Thrifty Health and Ammo DRLA compatibility patch: The Thrifty mods allow you to take only the ammo and health you need from the big boxes, without any other going to waste.
  • LegenDoom Lite: Random enemies on the map are chosen to be Legendary enemies, with increased health and damage (numbers can be tweaked). DRLA Monsters also get new attack patterns.
There's also a few "semi-universal" addons I use when playing DRLA: One last thing, if you play a mapset with an episode selection screen, don't use Kinsie's Fluff Modlet, for some reason it skips the selection screen.

Ooooo. Thank you. I'll see which addons to put now, though I'd reccomend avoiding Gun Bonsai. Ran into a nasty and I mean nasty issue where if you have levels on a gun and modpacks and such, if you drop the gun the modpacks on it dissapear
