The theme seems to have been a late addition. Initially it was just the names. It is making it hard to use the forum.Graf Zahl wrote:Ok, guys, having a bit of April Fools fun is fine, but forcing a totally screwed up and non-functional forum theme is where the fun stops - fish related or not.
Please revert this to something useful ASAP.

Re: Something fishy?
Are you browsing on mobile? On my computer the theme seems perfectly functional. I actually don't dislike it. But it doesn't seem we can change it to something else, no style options in the UCP that I could see.

It's a visual mess. Nothing is where it is supposed to be and there's no separating elements anywhere. Just one big ugly mess of badly formatted text.

Re: New forum design??
I didn't think people actually liked the new style, and yes it was just put in there as a temporary joke.
At any rate, if people actually like it, then it's available as "subMerged" in your board preferences now.

There's only so much you can stretch a joke before it wears out its welcome. And that happens regardless of time zones unfortunately. >.<
There's also the fact that there's a small, but notable and important base that does not like my April Fool's shenanigans. I know I am upsetting them by doing what I do, but I don't want to make it too painful for them either.

Well, I didn't think any ill of it. For what that's worth.Rachael wrote:There's only so much you can stretch a joke before it wears out its welcome. And that happens regardless of time zones unfortunately. >.<

I'm surprised there is a Submerged updated for the newer phpBBs, i've seen this theme around 2007. The classic lack of margins clearly shows it's still made for 1024x768
