If I remember correctly, this guys throws loads of grenades in HL1.
Would be nice if you make +2 (x8 direction) sprites to cover that. But i understand its easy to ask for, its harder to draw it.

decided to redo these by scaling them down manually rather than using th engine to do it.

it results in something that looks much more fitting with the doom assets and looks a lot less build engine...

yeah. Probably the last thing I ever post here (and most of discord servers I'm in) in a good while because I'm quite tired of recent and some old stuff that keep remind me of itself on occasianal basis eventually.

I literally burnt out emotionally and don't want to deal with any sort of ill thoughts and suggestions toward my name coming from people that are part of community that I cared about for 10 years, if not more.
That's just enough from me. I would like to get alone for a long while. Being sick because of constant stress is tiresome and unhealthy. As well as loneliness.
But latter can heal some wounds. Constant stress state however brings nothing but harm.

Wow that sounds bad  really sorry to hear that, because that rat looks awesome! I can imagine it being in a Quake level, like some sewers and stuff, I'm sure Civie11 would appreciate some sewer levels ;)

Hope you regain your peace of mind soon. You're right, stress is nothing but trouble.

They make me remember the "ratmen" from Thief TDP.
Awesome!

I know that BoA is controversial at the moment and i actually knew it had weird stuff 7 days ago and it still shocks me... But i wanna forget all this and would like to share some improved HD sprites i worked on so other modders could use them. Click here!
Spoiler: Most of them did not picked by Torm for some reason and here's the credit inside of the ZIP file i gave to him:

I still can't figure out how to get gifs to post from imgurl but this is another very old monster remade to hopefully look better than it did
fopewalkold.gif
from 2003, possibly the first full monster sprite set that I started on
the new one will be translated to blue tones but due to my terrible palette planning was more practical to draw in brown tones.

The design is now highly detailed and animation is smoother now. Astounding work! I still can't figure out how legs works in walkcycle and such heha so i stick with max 4 frames.

it doesn't help that few of the original doom/2 monsters actually look as if they are walking, because it is hard to capture motion in still photography anyway, and four frames often just is not enough to do it convincingly except from the back and front angles, though hexen's sprites do about as good a job as any might. from there it can be more easily ascertained how intermediate limb positions might go. Wolfenstein 3d's walks even aren't bad, but doom's don't work. I remain a bit embarrassed to say that much of my early artistic development came from trying to draw Heretic gargoyles and saberclaws.

I find the lack of glove variety rather disturbing, so I'm taking the painful task of doing custom gloves just 'cause I can.
