Yeah, I was going to say that I liked the compromise that you came up with for the previous version but the illogicality of the big gap over the vulnerable abdominal organs (even if it is consistent with other artwork) was bugging me. That most recent design looks great IMO. The various plates on the front could do with (I don't really know how to describe the process) being "blended in" a bit more. At the moment they look like they are just separate blocks placed onto the armour rather than being part of it.

What do you think now?

I don't like big changes compared to the original, but there is really nothing to see on the original armor. Only base shape and colors...

I'm still learning. This is armor from a year ago :D

Oh, nice. I'm not sure about the thin darker lines (the ones that go across the chest and then down the front). They also look a bit "drawn on top". I'm not particularly bothered about them either though. The abdomen panel looks good.

Actually, the green armour could have this style and the blue, perhaps, could have the other style (with the "floating ab plates" fixed) to underline that the blue one is better. i.e. the fact that they perform differently is accounted for by the fact that they are subtly different physically. :?: The green one above looks like a cheaper-to-produce "one size fits all" inflexible panel whereas the blue separate bits look as if they might have a bit more flexibility and thereby be a bit more comfortable for the wearer and just a bit more "techy".

[edit]Just seen the added "year ago" pic. That's a huge improvement. Well done. [/edit]

LInes are only experimental :) But UAC logo I think is not bad idea...

There is more work on the armors than I expected ..

Hi Marcelus

I've created some test models using your textures/sprites
Spoiler:
Thanks again for the permission to use texture :)

IMO the sharp corners of the square hole don't make sense. On the cover art, the shape has smoother diagonal angles and it makes it quite clear that the armor has this shape for mobility, so as to allow the marine to crouch for example. That's not possible with the sharp corners because the solid parts on the side will still prevent crouching (the armor will hit your pelvis and get hurt you) while not offering protection on the abdomen.

hello, I don't do a simulator :) It's just a graphic representation that it's armor. Many original sprites also have no logical basis. I understand what you mean, but that's not the point. I do not mean it in a bad way

I am working on sprites in HD for doom, Doom 2 and later maybe Doom 64.

my goal is to turn most objects and things into high resolution. It's my private project and I'm working on it in my free time. I will inform you about the current status.

Overall looks pretty good. Except for that skeleton candle sprite looks kinda groidy. Might wanna fix the squares.
