They're exactly what I had in mind (and yeah, that was amazingly quick). I think they're an improvement on these "trees."
Just flipped over and applied a translation to match that zimmer texture...

OH WOW! those trees are astounding! i had no idea that you would use them in such a way. and how! its fantastic. I love sector based things like this when its done right and that is done right!gramps wrote:They're exactly what I had in mind (and yeah, that was amazingly quick). Heh, that's very kind, my mapping skills are old and dusty and moderate at best. I'm feeling these shaggy vine-trees, but you might as well thank yourself for that
Playing with those grass sprites now, they look pretty good around the base of a torch or so.

I don't want to hijack your thread, but I think you could use these for more variation. I made them long time ago from scratch and tried to mimick the style as much as I was able. Feel free to remix them in any way. No credit even needed.

They are interesting but as far as a torchtree variant goes I'd say they're a bit to much of a deviation from the source image...
However as a new mid sized tree they are rather excellent.
My only gripe is the roots on that single stalky trunk make them look very triffid like...

That being said you've done an amazing job replicating the style. Spot on there...

I've done some quick and dirty edits of some of the large leafy trees in order to remove (most) of the burnt parts. They're not great but should be serviceable.
I really like those tree variants newworm posted above as well, would be great to see leafy variants of those.

Here's the trees with added leaves, all credit goes to Mikolah for the edit.

I've had another go at the rabbits and they are much better now imho.
use this file to test in game, summon either daisy_r or daisy_l (or use the randomspawner rabbitspawner)
will run, jump, and nibble a bit!

essentially an expansion of daisy II's sprite from doom mower. it is based off of both this and the necrodome rat spritesuse this file to test in game, summon either daisy_r or daisy_l (or use the randomspawner rabbitspawner)

Nice job on the rabbits: quite realistic while remaining compatible with the Doom sprite style.

Indeed. I wish there where more wild non-enemy critters like this (and with this quality).
