Re: Ultra-Crispy (26/02/19) I update... AGAIN!
Just came in to say that the Assault Rifle's grenade launcher feels a bit.. underwhelming. It costs 2 ammo per shot, the projectile doesn't fly that far (the trajectory seems to me as if it falls/jumps out of the barrel, rather than being propelled) and it only does ~75-80 damage. I know it's set to 80, which is lower than Doom's default 128, but you need to take the monster's radius into account, as in practice splash damage never originates from the center, only from the boundary of the actor being hit. So, the wider the monster, the less splash damage it will get. In short, imo either buff the damage or lower the cost to 1:)
@TheEternalStruggler
If my memory serves me well, that shotgun originates from the Alien Trilogy for PSX.

The shotty is from Killing Floor Time(PC).
Thanks for the suggestion Dabb
EDIT: As for some plans to add-ons, here lay some obvious ideas:
- Classic sounds from B1 and B2, as well as some BUILD game sounds
- Tommygun
- Revolvers for Berettas
- Tesla Gun/Singularity Generator

Blood 2 had a Howitzer gun, you could use that.4.) A literal cannon. (sort of a reference to Serious Sam.)
I knew I forgot to mention something... Yeah, the grenade launcher on the AR sucks pretty bad.Just came in to say that the Assault Rifle's grenade launcher feels a bit.. underwhelming. Is it wrong that I still want a chainsaw though?

No, totally fine.
BTW, bumped to self-bug reporting:
- Caleb can take damage and talk other things while getting a secondary pistol for the first time;
- Armors in Hexen doesn't have pickup sounds or brackets;
Those are pretty easy to fix, and aren't worthy of a rehaul yet. Maybe as soon as i get new stuff into the mod.

I love the updates so far, except for one thing, the barrel explosion sounds have a rinnging to them, and if that is a lot of ringing very close, it HURTS. I use headphones, and it physically hurts after a while. It made Barrels Of Fun both mentally and physically painful, is there any way to tone it down?

Sure! There are ways of toning it down or just excluding/replacing the "DSEXPER1.ogg" from the sounds/weapons/sfx folder.

You can open it up with both WinRAR or Slade3, also, make a security copy to make sure things won't be lost

The shotgun there is from an old PC DOS game called Killing Time. (If I'm not mistaken)TheEternalStruggler wrote:Like the shotgun seen in the Blood Prequel

Had to look up my post. DUH. I mispelled the game name with another FPS.

Any chance of a pitchfork to replace the machete? Also, will the Tommyguns have the street-sweep alt-fire?GAA1992 wrote:The shotty is from Killing Floor Time(PC).

As a add-on, yes! I like the pitchfork, but it ALWAYS bugged me that it is the only weapon that is centered in game. EDIT: Sure, i love that tommy altfire.
By the way, we are very close to another update! I am just taking some final adjustments in hope nothing explodes, and we're good to go.
