Doom for DOS

Quick answer: It doesn't exist on the D:CE disk.

It wasn't available at all for an entire year. I know because I tried to buy it back in the fall of 2003. I didn't see it on the shelf as the new collector's edition until like last summer.Ninja_of_DooM wrote:Yes....It was back in stores about 4 years ago.:rolleyes:
The only .exe you're going to get with the collector's edition is Doom95.exe. If you want the original .exe, your best bet is to download Boom.DoomRater wrote:Guess I'd better ZIP up the exe so I don't have to dig ot the disk anymore.

Install either Final Doom project for DOS onto your hard drive, then you will find it in the directory you installed it in. The EXE is packaged, you have to install the project to retrieve it. That's why I was saying I'd better ZIP the exe up in case I need it- I don't wnat to have to reinstall the game every time I want to use it.
