Thanks zirron! Just check your PM inbox. And I forgot to mention, I suggest using the non-paletted version. I'll just convert the final results to ROTT's palette to compare the two, and then I'll decide which one looks best.

Yeah. That definitely looks much better than the any of the previous versions. I'm thinking me, zirron, and Uboa would make a great team in getting this thing finished. There's always room for one more, if you're interested, Uboa. :D

I might work on it every now and then. Wouldn't you only have to have one long, extended sprite? You could just rotate it.

At first I saw that and went, "That's awesome". Then the APNG plugin in my browser kicked in and I saw that it was animated and I went "That's AWESOME."

Thanks for the mention. I never even noticed it was animated.

EDIT: Image Touching up Who Dun It's M1-Carbine. I removed the hair from the forearm's underside (because that's just silly) and smoothed the animation.

I find that Blox tends to have rounder, smoother shading as opposed to a rough Doom style. Not saying it's bad though, they all look better than my efforts :P

-embarrassingly snipped-

EDIT: I tried making some swinging frames for it. The bat would just move across the screen.

Well, now I'm curious as to what you posted. :P
As for the bat, the edges on that look kind of aliased. Did you use rotsprite or just rotate it in photoshop?
Edit: quick edit out the link so you don't look dumb oh no

Rotsprite. And as for what I posted, it was a link to gameplay footage of the new ROTT. I was asking things like "I wonder what this bat's name is, maybe it's this" and "Maybe it does this". I decided that since it was something in the original ROTT, people already knew about it and I'd seem like an idiot.

It usually depends on whether I decide to make it have a texture or not - and especially whether I actually know what I'm doing. (Usually not. :p )

The skull is pretty smooth (? what i do with bone ?), but the wooden part of it is more rough, though admittedly this is probably one of the smoothest pieces of wood I've done. o.@

and why am i being discussed like i matter when my productivity has continuously gone down the shitter since forever

Weird, I don't remember rotsprite producing edges that fugly before. Oh well, it's just a mockup right now so it doesn't matter.

Embarrasing moments like that, we all have them, don't we? :?
well it's 2:00 AM here I should probably sleep

EDIT: Who cares about productivity when the results are nice? :) I haven't done any significant spritework in at least a week, but I've always been like that. Wait, why is it that all the good spriters here claim to be lazy? :?

EVEN MORE EDITS: I really should put more thought into my posts before I post them so I don't end up in situations like this, but I like the smooth shading style. It just makes more sense to me. Also why the fuck am I awake let me go to sleep why am I being so useless aghhhh
