[v1.3.2] FDHUD

FDHUD with Doom 2


FDHUD is a HUD mod that attempts to emulate the HUDs used in Final Doomer Plus, with some additional options as well.
Should work with most WADs that come with a custom STBAR texture.
May or may not work with Gameplay Mods. Haven't tested that much yet.

Why?
I made this mod because I was a bit sad to find out that the Final Doomer HUD patch didn't change to the custom STBAR texture provided by map sets like Back To Saturn X, Ancient Aliens, Valiant, etc.

Note: Does not actually work with Final Doomer, sadly.
This mod does work with Final Doomer Plus, but you'll have to load the map after loading Final Doomer Plus.
This is because Final Doomer Plus has a graphic file conveniently named "STBAR".
Note: The BFG ammo counter will be missing, so maybe don't use this mod with Final Doomer Plus.

Update: v1.2.0
Changes:
  • Added better formatting
  • HUD Numbers can now be centered
  • % text can now be hidden

I've been using this HUD with a few different gameplay mods and I absolutely love it, it's a simple concept executed extremely elegantly and cleanly.


Mod shown above is LT. Typhon.

I really appreciate how it lets you use a more "modern" HUD layout without preventing you from seeing the extremely neat STBAR textures some mods include. Are you alright with people including FDHUD in their projects? (with proper attribution, of course!)
