GIS - Make Doom Looks Better

A COLLECTION OF PRESETS FOR RESHADE TO BE USED IN DOOM AND DOOM 2.

**UPDATE 14-03-2017**
Since I was not satisfied with how the images were seen on Android, I have decided to diversify the gallery in two versions, one for PC and one for Android. Good vision!

Reminds me of blurry 90's magazine screenshots.

I prefer a slightly more subtle approach. Not that it couldn't use a bit of tweaking :P

Just me, but I consider the PSXN64 Dooms the closest-to-golden standard to emulate for non-vanilla mood lighting.

These kinda drown out the vintage Doom sprites.

Um, I think I'll stick with the default rendering.

Most of these, if not all of them, make the game look like its been recorded off a TV using a crappy camera.

Not gonna lie, I'm a sucker for lens flares and if used tastefully and subtly, it'd make me go crazy. =D

Thanks to dpJudas' amazing work, most of these effects like the screenshot in the OP could theoretically be possible in-engine as part of GZDoom... I'll need to learn how to add shader passes soon. =D

Each to his own, of course, but you'd never see me add those particular effects that the OP showed screenshots of. Mostly because good post processing in my book is like makeup - it needs to be subtle enough that you just think the girl really does look that great. If you notice the makeup in a way that makes you start thinking about it, then it means it was too much.

I might one day add the framework required for others to do what OP did in a mod tho. We'll see. :)

I wear no make-up. >_> I rarely use the PP effects in GZDoom, either, but if I do use any, I use the tonemaps more often than anything else. (Palette and Reinhard more often than any others)

Hehe, it is an area where personal taste matters lot. But I did add the bloom to GZDoom because I do like a hint of bloom myself. Like Nash, I can also be a sucker for lens flares and such - but I do not like JJ Abrams level of bloom and lens flare. :)
