Wolfenstein 3D 128x128 resources thread

Post by Fox666 »

I created this thread for the making of Mac-style textures that are still missing from the PC. Some may exist but the quality is questionable, or still could be improved.

All of the walls from the PC version. SoD included.
Spoiler:
Original Jaguar/Mac/3DO version textures. Note that some of the matching PC walls may appear strange (i.e. purple rocks are replaced by SoD gray rocks), but I checked the SNES version and this is accurate.
Spoiler:
Missing walls, within the style of the Mac version.
Spoiler:
This set further improves the wall textures to closely resembles the PC version.

You missed these

They're also part of the gray brick series (along with the crack and drain ones)

And this one is missing its alternate counterpart

And, lastly, all of these are missing the shadow behind the object causing it to not visually blend.

EDIT:
Found a much better one, still missing the shadow though

Thanks, I will add the shadows. I will also make an HD version of that flag.

Heads up: You can give your thread a thumbnail without having to post it as an image by using the [thumb] tag.

Thanks.

I changed some stuff on the first post. Improved a little the grey stones and fixed the tiling of SoD multicolored stones.

This one, the beige rock, needs three variants of blood splatter. Vanilla Wolf3D had a total of six, but three of these were shaded walls so there is really only the need for three.

The middle is the original Jag/Mac/3DO version and the one to the far right is my rather crappy copy-n-paste job.

With that, I think it is pretty much complete with replacements for everything.

EDIT:
Here's my edit of the blue wall swastika. I like it better this way, think it looks better.

I like it, but my purpose here is to stay true to the original in a general sense. =P

Yeah, after closer consideration I think I might stick to the more faithful version too.

Looks a hell of a lot better. Now we just need one more variant and we're good to go.

EDIT:

Perhaps this blood splatter can be used for the third one.

I think I got the last variant we needed done. 8-)

Regarding the blood splat, I think the older ones look way better IMO.

Glad I could help.

Also just a side thought, once we get all of these done for good, Shouldn't we move this over to resources or something more suitable?
